Will placing the Mac mini M4 vertically affect its cooling or heat dissipation?
There is a fan at the bottom?will it be noisy or trap heat?
The fan is temperature-controlled (auto on/off). Combined with the vented base, airflow goes front-to-back to move heat away; it won’t impede the Mac’s cooling. For best results, keep ≥5 cm (2 in) of clearance at the back.
What is the PD 30W for? Does it power the Mac mini?
The PD-IN 30W powers the dock and its NVMe/USB ports to keep drives mounted reliably during heavy transfers. It does not power the Mac mini?please use the Mac’s original power adapter for the host.
Why is this Mac mini M4 Dock and Stand considered "Wi-Fi friendly"?
The Wi-Fi module of the Mac mini M4 is located at the bottom of the chassis. Our docking station features a vertical stand design that ensures the base is not obstructed, allowing for seamless Wi-Fi signal transmission without interference.
Why does the USB-A 2.0 plug not sit completely flush with the port?
We have utilized short-body USB terminals for the 2.0 ports. This design causes a small portion of the USB plug to remain exposed, which serves as a visual distinction between USB 2.0 ports and USB 3.2 ports. This does not affect data transmission.
Will placing the Mac mini M4 vertically affect its cooling or heat dissipation?
A: Not at all. We have conducted thermal testing, and the results show that the device maintains normal operating temperatures in a vertical position.
