To get started, plug the adapter’s USB-A male connector into a USB 3.0 port on your computer. Then, use Cat5e/6 cable to connect the two RJ45 (female) connectors to a network. No external power supply is required. The U336-002-GB is a simple solution for IT administrators who require dual-homed or multi-homed host systems.

This adapter doesn’t require an external power supply. It’s bus powered via your computer’s USB 3.0 port. The U336-002-GB is compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromium operating systems. It’s backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices (but at USB 2.0 speeds). It also has a micro-B port for connecting to a power source when your computer is turned off.

The U336-002-GB is compliant with IEEE 802.3i (10BASE-T Ethernet), 802.3u (100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet), 802.3ab (1000BASE-T GbE) and IEEE 802.3az (Energy Efficient Ethernet) standards. It supports IPv4 and IPv6 pack COE, full-duplex operations with IEEE 802.3x flow control, half-duplex operations with back-pressure flow control, Wake on LAN (WoL), VLAN tagging and jumbo frames up to 4K. The U336-002-GB also supports suspend mode and remote wakeup via link-change, Magic Packet, Microsoft Wakeup Frame and external wakeup pin.
